MEET THE TEAM
In 2011 Richard and Melanie set up the Comfy Workplace.
With over 35 years of experience, Richard specialises in office ergonomics, sustainability, acoustics and conventional furniture.
He is also our lead Ergonomic/DSE Assessor, qualified to Advanced level and also holds Emergency First Aid in the Workplace Level 6, First Aid for Outdoor Incident Management Level 6 and is qualified in pre-hospital care.
When not thinking about chairs, Richard volunteers his time with the Mountain Rescue Team and enjoys various other outdoor pursuits.
Melanie’s background is in Human Resources, Health and Safety and Business Management, together with over five years experience in the office furniture industry prior to setting up The Comfy Workplace.
Melanie holds Business Management, CIPD and IOSH qualifications.
Melanie loves the outdoors and is an enthusiastic dog-lover, having two dogs named Penny and Fudge.
Ashley began working with the Comfy Workplace in 2018 and joined permanently in 2022 on a part-time basis to help grow the business. Ashley’s expertise is in customer care, marketing and social media and she brings a fresh pair of eyes to the business.
Ashley loves travelling and cats, and is proud owner to Teddy, the naughty Maine Coon!
